The slit length 14mm and yellow filter have been improved to provide better observation of the anteior chamber and for lens fitting.
A new feature is the inbuilt beam splitter connected to a video port which allows for easy installation of an optional video. A new halogen bulb with improved cooling, offers up to 3000, 000 lux. The slit can be adjusted from hairline width up to 14 mm. uv and ir filters are built in and blue and grey filters can be introduced as needed.

The Stereo-Variator reduces the angle of stereoscopic observation from 13› to 4,5›. It facilitates the stereoscopic examination of the fundus, especially under unfavourable conditions such as high myopia, small pupils and peripheral parts of the fundus and the vitreous. It results in an enlarged binocular field of view and, although reduced, still gives access to stereoscopic observation which again improves binocular visual acuity.
